Travel Vaccinations

Yellow fever is REQUIRED. We also recommend Malaria, Tetanus, and Typhoid. We strongly suggest that you ask your physician for a prescription for malaria pills. One begins taking them before leaving for Ghana.

Important Forms to Submit

Yellow Fever Card

Do not submit your yellow fever immunization certificate or covid card with YOUR visa application. Keep it IN YOUR POSSESSION and present it at the port of entry in Ghana.

Passport

Valid for 1 year at time of travel and 1 extra page for emergency stamps

Travel Funds

We do not recommend bringing more than $2000 in CASH. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen funds.

Emergency Location

Enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive alerts and make it easier to locate you in an emergency. This link takes you offsite.
