Ghana By Regions

Greater Accra is the gateway to Ghana and the home of our vibrant Capital City. It is one of the most modern, exciting and distinctive regions and has been Ghana’s capital since 1877. The city is well endowed with luxury hotels, excellent restaurants and nightclubs.

The Western Region of Ghana is an integrated complex of beautiful safe beaches and resorts. Here a vacation is a reality. The Western Region has the highest tropical jungles; picturesque villages with friendly people, and vivacious festivals.

Eastern Region powers Ghana and neighboring countries with the largest man made lake that houses Akosombo Water Dam. It is a rich blend of dramatic landscapes, historical relics and traditional cultures and crafting. 

The Central Region is the former center of the Gold Coast. The coastline is famous for its ancient slave dungeons. The Region is also famous for its palm-fringed beaches, fascinating fishing villages, historic towns, and National Park. 

Volta Region is for the nature adventure seeker.  It has landscapes of rolling hills, rocky valleys, lagoons, rivers, and waterfalls waiting to be conquered. Here monkeys and other land grazing animals live free in the most well-kept part of Ghana.

The Northern Region is a flat land as it is the only part of Ghana that can be considered a Savana land. Northern Region produces all of Ghana's Shea Butter for local and international shipping. Here is the Largest Aminal Safari Reserve National Park.
